Become a RHVFR Volunteer!
Round Hill Volunteer Fire & Rescue offers a wide range of rewarding volunteer roles for both operational and administrative members. Whether you’re interested in emergency response or helping behind the scenes, there’s a way to serve your community and make a difference.
Operational Roles
- Firefighter
- Respond to fire emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and other incidents requiring fire suppression or technical rescue. Requires structured training and physical readiness.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Provide pre-hospital medical care during 911 calls and medical standbys. State certification and ongoing training are required.
- Support Services Technician
- Assist with non-emergency scene functions such as rehab, equipment logistics, and safety monitoring; perfect for those who want to help on scene without full EMS/fire certification.
- Operational Driver
- Driving an emergency vehicle isn’t just about driving fast with flashing lights. Drivers are essential for getting our crews where they need to be safely. Drivers are not required to be EMTs or Firefighters.
Administrative Roles
Not all volunteer roles are operational. Our administrative opportunities allow members to support the station behind the scenes through leadership, planning, and committee involvement.
